Our History

What is now the web's most complex automated chat agent began in a dorm room at the UC Berkley campus. Chris Wampler has always been intrigued by artificial intelligence, particularly when it comes to linguistics. To test his program, Wampler started sending his natural language parsing program into chat rooms to start up conversations with unsuspecting surfers. Years later, that chat program has evolved into a highly complex online marketing tool, generating additional revenue for hundreds of national brands.
